In case you don't know, Teraflex offers a T-Case Shifter kit that will allow you to use rear wheel drive in low gear. The benefits of having two wheel drive in tight spots is obvious. While out at TDS, I found another very useful way, in which to use 2 low. I had climbed up a ledge in the new offroad training park and once on top, had no way to continue forward. While attempting to back down the ledge, I was having a hard time as my front tires were climbing a wall. All I had to do was engage 2 low then head forward. The ledge was steep enough that it allowed my rear end to slide sideways and straighten out on the ledge. I could then back straight down. Needless to say, a couple of JK guys asked how the hell I did that. And the crowd of about fifty people watching applauded as I didn't role down the ledge.
This install can be done without removing the T-Case.
Here's a vid of the T-Case internals install. The rest is pretty simple.
