Stubby-Fied RR XHD Rear Bumper

I have had this bumper on 2 different JK's. I have really been wanting a stubby rear bumper. Since I already had the Rugged Ridge bumper.......... hmmmmmmm. Cut it!!

Here is what it looks like pre cut

Tape layout of cut

Ends gone via reciprocating saw

Mocking up template with cardboard for the returns

I used the excess from the removed ends and welded them up

Hit them with a little duplicolor bedliner. Ran out of daylight, will do the driver side tomorrow. I think it turned out great!! I like it.

Looks way better.

Yes, but there's just something about him. Something around the eyes, I don't know, reminds me of... me. No. I'm sure of it, I hate him.

Check!! Is on the list. Thinking of how far to take the paint. I dont want to take the bumper off since it was a huge PITA to put on.

OK, finished up the other side. I also painted the pinch seam. Now just got to find a place for my firestick antenna to go, since I cut my mounting point off.

wow that looks really great! i may go ahead and do this instead of paying a bunch for a river raider or gen right bumper... how difficult would you say this is to do right? (right as in looks like it came that way)
