Rutdigger: Factory Front Bumper Stubby Conversion

Ok guys..I apologize up front. I don't have alot of pics for this conversion because my camera took a crap on me during the project. So, I only have a few but hopefully you can see what to do.

Here is a pic of what it looks like after the conversion:

Now in order to get this thing in as tight as I wanted it I was forced to cut off the section that had the mounting holes that held the plastic skin to the mtal fender underneath:

So this piece of the plastic skin that I cut off had the brass rivet nuts inserted into the plastic skin. You will need to cut those out so you can glue then to the small end pieces. This will allow you to use the inserts to bolt the skin back on. I know this sounds confusing, but once you get it apart you will see what I mean. Sorry I didn't get better pics:

Then run down to your local automotive repair store and pick-up some large black rivets and rivet the end pieces back on:

Then you get this when your done:

One more project down..lol.

To many mods to list..lol

Damn, was hoping to see a thread on mod factory bumpers. Do you know of any other threads making them stubby's?
