want it too look something like this:

Note: I had the wrong pic earlier.... this one is a little different, longer wheelbase, but the same overall length.

First one I posted is 2nd in line here.... I like the longer wheelbase better.

That's one of the things I do not like about the AEV Brute, the box design looks terrible with the roof off (box sides are higher than the tub sides) and the rear box overhang is too long.

So I fixed these issues with this photoshop image...

Removed the rear of the tub, took the back panel and positioned it where the cab length dictated...

Note the custom Rockers/corners by TNT Customs!

The Rockers/corners cover all the work done to the tub.....

Rhino liner on the inside of the tub once the rockers are on for good, and I hope it looks ok??

Needed to lengthen the frame a couple of feet in the middle, plus add a custom touch to the rear of the frame too...

That's the next big part of the project...

Cab is from Collin's Bros in Texas...

The LJ would work really well for this type of cab mod..... you would not have the wheel well cutout messing things up!

The TNT Customs Rocker/corners look like they are going to work well though...

They built them for the Brute Cab initially, but the cab from Collins Bros is 1 1/2" shorter than the AEV cab, so I had to modify the door opening on the armor...

Then I had to mockup the exhaust....

I wanted to use everything I could from the JK, so I used all the exhaust, cats, muffler etc and made it work in this unit.... Note the muffler is in front of the axle, as in a JK it is behind the rear axle. I just used the Tj layout, fuel tank behind the axle, then with the center frame stretch, I was able to tuck the stock JK muffler in front of the rear axle...

Once I had the exhaust mocked, installed the tub, removed the tub and made adjustments, installed the tub, removed the tub etc etc....

I had it done, or so I thought.

More on that later!

Oh, ya added the stock JK heat shield and made some additional ones based on the JK design.

I also started on the box mount design...

Had to make it level and square to the tub.... had to set the tub on and square it to the frame first...

So then the rear frame was too short for the box length I wanted.... so I hacked it off and designed my own rear frame. Because of the way the box floor was going to work, I was able to move the fuel tank back about 7" from stock, plus raise it 3 1/2" from stock

Then I added some bumper mounts

I used the idea from Extreme 4x4 and used spray on box liner for the frame coating...

ok, enough of this, I gotta get back into the shop!!
