Help!!! Roof insulation!

So I tried the "sun shade" insulation with my hardtop black Rubicon. I know the satelite radio antena is on the passenger side roll bar, so I left that side un-insulated as to not interfere with reception. It worked half way, it still cuts out!!! Anyone know how much of the window shade I need to trim off the roof to get reception again? I don't want to remove too much, because much to my surprise, this mod works great!! It was 110-115 last week and what a difference inside the jeep with the insulation, I love it!! please help!!

I cannot answer you original Q, but you could just do the whole top and run a new Terks antenna to your dr sd wiper cowl. problem solved. You'll end up cutting a bunch off and will interfere with your original intentions for this mod.
