Review of the Generation II Trasharoo

The kind folks at Trasharoo (Trasharoo.com) and Maxbilt (Maxbilt.com) were nice enough to get me one of the first Generation II Trasharoo Trash Bags. I guess they heard that I generate a lot of trash when I am out on the trails with the family!

I don't think it would be possible for my family of four to fill this bag on a weekend camping trip but when it comes to picking up trash from other littering idiots I could fill this bag 10 times over! Interior space in ALL Wranglers is at a premium so a product that helps keep trash organized to one bag and to have it hanging on the spare is a welcome addition to my trail equipment.

A lot of us have used Burlap bags or trash bags hanging off of our spare and this takes it to the next level. No more twisted drawstrings, torn bottoms or ripped off all together. I will need to recommend a monogrammed "Banned" version of the Trasharoo for all of us on JKO!

The biggest change with the latest version is that the bag can now be mounted on a spare tire up to 40". I did not own the first generation bag but the build quality of this bag is very impressive. It is 900 denier canvas which is water resistant and all of the buckles and straps are double stitched.

The exterior of the bag features extra pockets and it is even MOLLE compatable for additional storage needs.

Once the straps are adjusted to length that you need, install is a breeze...

they say not to exceed 50lbs but I did with no problem**

**Please note that Pirate4X4, JKO & Moose do not condone strapping your child to the spare tire of your offroad vehicle. That is, of course, unless they are being a real PITA and you think it will teach them a lesson or improve your mental health!

For more info you can check-out Trasharoo.com and here are a few more pics of a product I wish I had the brains to think of first!

Thanks Ron Gilbert!

I would run it more but since my plate is in the center of my spare I have to take the bag off for road travel. Only downside so far.

Nice, but that looks too nice to put stinky trash in.

I love the rear spotter/camera man use though.

My rear camera is just above my plate so that gets blocked by the bag as well. That's when my youngest goes into action! When he screams I know I have gone far enough! Now I just need to hook up the rear washer nozzle on my hardtop and point it towards him for when he nods off!

Hey Trasharoo,

It would be cool if it was a little bigger so you can carry the freedom hard top panels in it when the trunk is full of camping gear.

My dog is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to 99˘ a can. That's almost $7.00 in dog money.

LOL.. Reminds me of the Hangover. That would be hilarious to put him in there for Jeep Beach parade and give him a water gun.

I line it with a heavy duty trash bag.

Trasharoo had their ears open and addressed the issue for those of us with our plate in the center of the spare. Pretty simple fix. A canvas and clear plastic sleeve with 4 MOLLE straps on the back to attach it to the bag. Stitching is top notch, same as the bag, and now I can roll to and from the trail with no issues from the law. Thanks Dave
