JKUR Hemi 5.7L swap

We just finished a Hemi 5.7L swap on a 2007 JK using the Jeep Speed Shop kit and now we are working on a 5.7 swap in a 2014 Jeep JK using the AEV kit.
The AEV kit is nice because it lists out every part that you will need so there is not a bunch of searching for the correct pieces. The instructions however can be confusing or unclear from the pictures. Here is a link to the instructions http://www.aev-conversions.com/ishee...Guide_12up.pdf
We ordered all of the conversion parts from AEV and this is how they arrived.

Next we inventoried everything. I highly suggest you organize the parts out neatly as there a lot of them and it will get confusing if you do not.

Next the Exhaust system

We then had all of the parts from the BOM list that AEV provides from the dealership ordered including the engine. This list can be found at http://www.aev-conversions.com/shop/...in/jk-hemi-kit just click on the installation tab.

Here is the heart of the beast!

Next was to disassemble the JK and remove the body. This makes it a lot easier to access all of the parts.
Here you can see the Genesis Dual battery setup. This will work with the stock motor and the hemi 5.7 and 6.4L

The batteries removed.

The body is FREE!

Now it was time to start the transplant with removal of the stock engine

The exhaust was unbolted first

Finally she's out!

In this picture you can see that the vacuum canister had been previously relocated front the front bumper to behind the steering box. This will have to be relocated once again

The new engine mounts line up easily and then just weld them in!

A good coat of paint is next

Now to disassemble the trans and remove the bell housing as it has a new one from the BOM list.

Here you can see the new and old belhousing

Here you can see we have assembled the motor and trans and now dropping it back in the chassis. You can see we have already started assembling many of the accessories onto the new motor.

Here you see the adapter plate for the transmission mount is already in place

I will be posting more pictures in the next couple of days as we finish up the build. Then I hope to have some video of this beast in action!
Thanks for reading.

We started back up this morning by installing the exhaust. Of course we couldn't leave it completely alone!

Moe pics to come later today
Thanks,
Bobby
