Ron Mexico's Hard Top Write Up

I emailed him for instructions on his top, And he sent pics also. Here they are! Thanks Ron Mexico.

Parts List
3 - standard length 2x4's
1 - 72" galvanized pipe 3/4" (threaded on each end)
1 - 72" pipe insulation
4 - 2" casters

The total width (measured left to right in the first photo) is 63"
The total length (measured top to bottom in the first photo) is 35.5"

The top horizontal piece is set in 5" (from outer edge) to allow room for the pipe stands to be mounted
The bottom horizontal piece is set in 2.5" (from outer edge)

The top horizontal piece has (2) 2x4's stacked in the middle to allow for the top to rest on the outer edge rather than the glass. These 2x4's are 24" long and mounted in the center.

The vertical pieces are each set in 12" (measured from their outer edge)

I covered mine in some carpet scraps i had laying around, I'd suggest doing the same to keep from scratches.

The top doesn't rest against the black, foam covered uprights. They are only there in case the top were to tip over. Also, you can see the little scraps I screwed on the 'feet' just in case the top were to slip. The top sits perfectly upright and doesn't place any stress on the glass at all. I keep my hard top on it about 4-6 months each year and haven't had any problems.
