Antenna

Not really a write up but I was sure where else to post it. I ordered a bullet shaped antenna off E-Bay for 5 bucks. Had to drill and tap it for a 5/16 thread and throw a set screw in it. I'm pretty happy with the way it looks and it was super simple. Thought you guys might like it too.

I have a 12" Antenna X shorty and it doesn't pick up all that good at all. How the heck is that thing going to pull any stations?

So far it works great. Maybe because it's a hunk of aluminum? Radio is just a clear as it was before.

I'm with you on this. The shorty flexible antenna doesn't pick up stations very good. That could be because I'm in BFE.

I am in the "city", I expect it might not be to good out in the sticks. So far I haven't noticed a difference in town. I'll keep you guys posted, I'm gonna run over to my Father's place at some point this week and he's out in the country.
