Since I NEVER put on my full top I wanted a rack in the rear. All the racks where expensive so I made my own... about a $35 investment. It's pretty straightforward so I'm going to let the pick do the write-up. It involves drilling the lip of the rear where you attach a hardtop. I figure that lip is the easiest place to drill since it's usualy covered by a duster or a top.
I also made a box which fits in there perfectly. I drilled 2 holes through the floor of the box and through the middle section of the rack and bolt on the box when needed. I rarely use it but it's handy if your going on a long trip.
