get the maglite clip on mounts, screw them to a piece of aluminum the mount the aluminum to the seat track
they also work great to make a mount to clip a license plate to a roller fairlead
I think I paid like $3 a pr on amazon
I also have a pair clipping a light to the inside of the tailgate

There's already a hole there, so if you have something like this, you can drill the other holes accordingly and rock it.

Edit: Damnit Venom, you're quick!

I've seen underwater out the windshield - the snorkel is there for a reason!

I keep the drain plugs in the floor unless they're draining, don't play submarine without the doors and keep the fuse pulled under the hood unless I'm gonna use the inverter

Plus the inverters are $80 at harbor freight, not the end of the world if I blow another one up
They actually take water pretty well as long as the fuse is out and you let em dry before powering back up.

It does rain in Texas occasionally - https://www.jkowners.com/forum/album.php?albumid=470

Not on the seat but I used the Maglite clips and mounted mine above the rearview mirror between the visors. Clean and out of the way.
