New 40x13.5R17 trail grapplers...

Anyone have any info on when these are expected to hit the market? I am currently leaning toward the Toyo Open Country MTs in the same size but would like to see how the pricing ends up on the trail grapplers. I hope to be putting 40s on my jeep some time in December/January.

New 40x13.5R17 trail grapplers...

They debuted them at the Hammers last year I thought, though I think they were a "K-Spec" version that was not DOT approved. I wonder whats taking them so long ... The Hammers is upon us once again! I've decided to run PB Rockers when I join the 40+ club, but the Trail Grapplers are a great tire (I run them now). I'm looking forward to seeing some JK guys run the 40s.

New 40x13.5R17 trail grapplers...

Isn't it basically the exact same tire as the Toyo MT?

no, the sidewall is going to be different. there are much larger blocks on the side. when you air down the sidewall blocks and the tread kinda "lock" together.

I shot an email to our rep at Nitto. I'll let you all know what he says about an ETA.

I went with Toyo 40x13.5R17 and am pretty happy. I wonder if they will have some siping on the lugs with these. That is one thing I found odd about the TGs.

I just got off the line with Nitto and their 40x13.50-17 Trail Grappler has been released. We do not have pricing in our system just yet but I imagine the price to be somewhere around the cost of the Mud Grappler.
