35s on 3.73 highway mpg

I have a 2011 JK with 3.73s on an automatic Trans. I am looking at going from my stock 255/75r17s to 2.5" lift with 315/70r17s. I make 400 mile highways trips about twice a month and am wondering what kind of MPG the new set up will give me.

^ ditto. What type topography where you are has a lot to do with it. Mostly hills and flat here

Way too many variables for anyone else to provide an accurate answer to you. Will you get less mpg with the bigger tires, absolutely. How much less will depend mostly on your driving style. A lot less if you drag race or only use two positions on the skinny pedal, a little less if you baby that skinny pedal with micrometer precision and keep your speed down.

Thank you all for the info. I hear a lot of people running programmers. Does anyone actually make one to work on the 2011?

14...

In 2009 a crack commando wheelin' unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the South Florida underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as wheelers of fortune. If you have a problem. If no one else can help. And if you can find them. Maybe you can wheel with The 50/50 Off-Road Team.

I ran the same set up for about 6 month, i was getting 13.9 w/ superchip, just installed 5.38s with the idea of jumping to 37s at some point and im getting up to 16.9mpg....but the reason i replied to this thread is how do those grapplers ride with 40 psi? Damn that is a lot of air in an E rated tire i have to run mine at 26psi or my teeth will rattle out... Lol

I've got 2011 4dr, auto, 3.73, and 35s. Ive also got a lot of added weight (steel bumpers, tire carrier, roof rack. I get 13 on average. That's living in GA and driving pretty conservatively. Im planning 5:13s in the not too far future.
