ordering atx slab beadlocks today...

only found one place i could get ahold of that had any in stock. so if they ever call me back i get to buy 4, then wait 30 days till for the factory to make another run of JK specific atx slabs.

i wanted these before a wheeling trip on the 27th. so i get to look ghetto and have a mismatching spare on the back.

anyone know where i can buy 1 atx slab?

Call up whoever you ordered from and tell them to have WheelPros cut a blank. Those are available out in Cali right now.

The 17x9 slabs with a 5x5 bolt pattern are indeed backordered, however wheelpros has plenty out in California that can be cut to the 5x5 bolt pattern. It's no extra charge, just usually takes about a week to do. Have him call his rep and ask for blanks to be drilled.

I'll check this out...

Thanks for the heads up Chris. The guys I deal with at Wheel Pros don't go out of their way or think outside the box unless it is to miss ship something for me. LOL

UPDATE - As suspected they "only show 3" out there.

Sorry Damon. Chris see what you can come up with if you have a minute!

Marcus

Same here Marcus... They told me no stock, but I had to point out the obvious to them. I've been hesitant to do Slabs for a while now. Heck of a wheel, just makes me want to heavily trying to get them. I'll give you a call with my info and that way he can get all five from you hopefully.

Gee, I wonder why that came to be?

OP, if you mix and match cut blanks and and factory pre-cut, fyi the blanks will have the raw metal showing in the lug nut holes vs powdercoating. You can paint the holes to match if you care (which is what I did).

i had actually thought about that already. good tip on the paint, i kinda assumed a cut wheel would be bare metal where the cut was for the bolt holes.

Damon,

We have been dealing with the Slabs as well. Our WheelPros rep is saying the same thing as everyone else. I looked into this all day yesterday for a friend of ours. You might want to call EVO out in CA. They were showing them on sale on there site for REALLY CHEAP!!! They might have some in stock but it is worth a shot if you want that wheel...

All I can say on that is "!!!!!!". You have the patience of Job my friend!

Damon, that is correct. Problem is when dealing with WP is you have to give them a bit of a prod to check different inventory. Marcus and Jason here excluded of course, but most vendors never even think to check for blanks and even then sometimes our reps don't give good info.

Good luck!

jason, i called them yesterday. they didnt have any in stock either.

the atx slab is either a) a very popular wheel or b) A VERY POPULAR WHEEL.

chris... im thinking the chris at morris is like you guys... he "has it together" enough to ask about blanks. so far so good. if i dont have my spare tire for my trip on the 27th i wont die i guess. ill just look stupid.

they do seem to be very popular lately.. you could always look into spyderlocks if they have them in stock.. im guessing they may be hard to get also since they use the same wheel.. then you could cut the star out or swap out the rings later.

just an update for anyone that cares...

i called back to morris 4x4 friday and talked with my sales guy. the tires already showed up i ordered but wheels were not there. chris called wheel pro a few days ago, and guess what? wheel pro either wasnt completely honest with him up front on the order or didnt really know what they had in stock. there were 3 wheels that needed to be cut, not just 1.

chris in sales at morris 4x4 has been awesome, super nice guy. however, wheelpro wont even return his phone calls at this point. chris is having to get his management involved just to get some sort of response from them on the phone.

for all i know the wheels may have shipped out today. maybe ill know something definate tomorrow.
