Question Help with wheel/tires fit

I have a 2012 Sahara and just ordered the following - V-Tec Raptor 17x9 +25 with BFG KM2 305/65r17, when reading up on the back space it seems that this wheel will end up with 6" backspace. When I voiced my concern to the salesman he was sure that these will fit w/o issue. Any help appreciated as they are to arrive in 3 days

6" of BS is a little much. If you plan on lifting it then you will have issues as most lift companies reccomend 4.5" BS or less for clearance. Looking at your tire choice it looks like a 33x12.5 and if that is true then with 6"BS you will rub the frame and sway bar. I think stock wheels are around 5.5"BS to give you an idea of how far under the jeep they will be.

My thoughts exactly, when I tell the saleman my concern he is sure these will work w/o issues. I am stopping by this afternoon for a test fit, as I think that the -12 wheel should be used versus the +25. Will know for sure in about 6 hours.

My current wheels have 3.5" bs and my last set had 4.5"bs with -8mm offset.

I'd recommend -6mm offset for up to 35X12.5, 0mm offset also just ok at that max. tire size but may get rather tight with larger running tires.
+25mm offset might just work for the tire size you mentioned but it would be the far "outer limit" thus you'd need different rims if you ever want to go a bit larger diameter and/or width wise.
FYI stock rims have 7.5" bead width with 44.5mm offset ~6.2" Backspacing

Thanks for the info on stock, I thought it was less than that.
