Decisions, Decisions.... Does 315/70R17 on AEV Pintlers extend past fender?

Sorry to create yet another tire thread, but I need help deciding tire size. I have JK 2DR stock set up now which is: 17x8.0 stock rims P245x75R17 tires. They measure 31.5" but more like 30.5" under the jeep.
I have 3.73 gears with 3" lift front and 2 " in rear. (Future plan involves winch and front bumper change) This is a daily driver and weekend wheeler. I have AEV Pintlers on order now. And need new shoes to go on them. My biggest problem is I have to keep the tire under the fender. Japan law requires the tire to be covered by the fender.

I plan on buying Good Year Duratracs but the size decision is where I am on the fence.
Size Width Height Weight Load Range
285/70R 17 11.5" 33" 53lbs D (32" under the jeep?)
315/70R17 12.7" 34.4" 60lbs D (33+" under jeep?)

Is anyone running 315/70R17 with AEV wheels and no spacers? Pictures please (preferable from side and front showing if tire extends past fender). I think the 315/70R17 tire may stick out a small bit with the AEVs but from most pictures I have found can't be sure. Personally, I really want more axel clearance from the ground and think the best option would be the larger tire, but the more practical tire for daily driver may be the 285/70R17. I know the 285/70R17 will fit with no issues and may be better on the gears, drivetrain, mpg, etc.

Thanks!!

Regards,
Brad

The AEV Pintlers have a +10mm offset so without spacers you'll run into rubbing issues at steering lock.
Now regarding overall width, the 315/70R17 on +10 offset wheels would stick out approx. 75mm more on each side compared to the 245/70R17 (This is assuming stock Moab wheels 17X7.5 with +47 Offset)

Tires are here... Now just waiting on rims!

I got all 5 of my new shoes delivered this week!! I went with 285/70R17 Duratracs. I canceled my Pintler order for AEV Savegre in Black and they were shipped a few days after my tires. Maybe they will be here next week!!

Regards,
Brad

I've got 315/70 17 on Pintlers, know you changed your wheels though. Pretty certain they come right to the edge of the fenders with Firestone Destination MT's. 3.5" AEV lift, no spacers.

Yep, I got impatient and I kept looking at those AEV Savegre and they were in stock. After looking at them for a while I grew to like them. Awesome looking rig you got there!!

Brad

Thanks. Yeah, I got the wrong wheels. Waiting on the argent Pintlers to come in.

The Savegre will look good. Did they have them in stock, heard they were having a hard time stocking any black wheel right now?

I even saw that AEV had the black Pintlers on backorder as well so I figured that it would take even longer for QT to get them. My original order was from Quadratec, and they had the Pintlers on backorder, but they had the black AEV Savegre in stock. Once I called and swapped my order, they were in the mail within a few days.

Regards,
Brad

4 out of 5 an't bad....

As I suspected I would, I received my wheels today. Ok so I am missing one, but I am sure it will arrive soon. My ACE rails arrived 1 month apart.

I will get them mounted as soon as the last one arrives.

Regards,
Brad
