Right now you'll be hard pressed to find a set of 37" mtr/k's. I'd start shopping around for a different 37" tire. I have a 2 door rubi on 37's. Consider the other upgrades you'll need before jumping to 37's. You'll want to sleeve and gusset the front axle, get atleast front axle shafts, and consider drag link flip too. Stock 4.10's with 37's is going to feel anemic with an automatic. I'm running 5.13 gears and while it's acceptable I'd rather be running 5.38's. 2" of bs and your wheels/tires are going to be sticking WAYYY out from the body.

I have a 6spd, running 5.38 with 37s
and there is a set of four mtr/k on race-dezert.com for 1300+shipping.

I'd say go for it. I ran 3.73 for over a year and did ok. def plan on upgrading to 5.13/5.38 soon though.

hey Zeus, as far as wheel back space 4.25" to 3.5" should be plenty to keep the tires from rubbing even 37x13.5 r 17.

and thanks for the pics media. I've been debating the trail stinger for a while now and yours are the first pics that let me see how tall and forward it is. no one around me has one to look at in person.

Here's another one:

2.5 Rock Krawler
37" MTRs
Wheels are 4.75" Back Spaced and I run 1.25" Spidertrax Spacers - 3.5" Back spacing
Front axle is a D30 with sleeves, gussets, and Nitro axle shafts in it
I'm running 5.13s and a six speed

Do it.

Nice lookin White Jeep ya got there. So, if you could order wheels with any BS, would it be 3.5 or what? Talking about a 12.5 not a 13.5 wide tire. Always heard that 4.5 is perfect but don't want to rub!!
Thanks

Thank you!

I'd order a wheel with 4 to 4.5 inches of back spacing if you can find one in stock that you like. 4.75 will rub on the lower control arms so you can either adjust your steering stops or put spacers on to widen the stance and get the tires off the arms. I went wider because it looked like a roller skate with those PSC flares.

I would think you would want to do the rear axle shafts if you were only doing one set first. I'm with you on the other stuff but why do say at least front axle shafts?

Just curious

And so I don't totally hi jack...to the OP, Do it!!!

I kind of think 40 is to much but now i dont know what to think the price is right for new tires........ Help!

Lots to think about when jumping up from 37 to 40

steering upgrade? Hydro? not sure how you use the rig but the stock pump will stuggle in the texas heat and 40's....
braking upgrade?
stock gearing? lot of meat to pull
front bumper clearance, rock rail and rear pinch seam clearance
axle upgrade, I know you have the 44 but I would recomend C's, sleeves, etc
wheel backspace and lift height???
you should be fine with the RK 3.5 but you will need to bumpstop accordingly for the 40's.....flat fenders

I am running 38's on 4.5 BS with spidertrax spacer. I would seach the 40in thread on here and you can get an idea of what the guys are running.

Mmhm, polarizing filter still holds as a valid solution. It cuts reflections from specific angles. Example is this, same exact camera position just turn the polarizing filter to reduce the glare. Like down the entire side of the car.

Mike - Kha is going to take you to school in a minute if you try to tell him about cameras. He takes close ups of the moon with a point and shoot.
