TJ 15" rims on JK

Just bought an '07 JK and it has 15" five on 4.5" rims on it. Also seems to be wider than stock - as if there's some sort of spacer/adapter on it.

Has anyone had any experience or heard of anyone using this set up? Pros, cons, etc. ???

Yes, there is a 99% chance there is a 1 1/2 inch thick adapter on each wheel, so you would be 3 inches wider than stock.

I understand why some would want their axles wider. But what atvantage would TJ rims have?

Also, most 15" tires are available in load ranger C which makes them a little softer.

the spacers may be adapters to
1) match the TJ bolt pattern and
2) allow the wheel to clear the caliper without rubbing
