Tires and spacing

I have 17x8.5 steel rims I am going to buy 35x12.5 tires do I need spacers to fill out the fenderwell?

What is the backspacing of your wheels?

I'm not sure. I measured the difference between the backspace on the wheels I have on there now and the steel/winter rims in going to mount. 1.5in so I'm assuming I need a 1.5in spacer...

just measure the back space on your new rims if it is 5" or less you will be fine. all you need is a straight edge and ruler.
