Lighter than 40lbs Beadlocks?

I'm having a hard time finding the weights on different 17" beadlock wheels. Looking to see if there are any wheels under 40lbs. I think the Method 105 is around 33lbs. Are there any other Beadlocks in that weight range? Seems like most of them are in the 50lb range...

I have BAD wheels and they are 55-60lbs each... I have an old school mind set, heavier=stronger.

I'm sure that's the case but there's also a penalty of too much weight in this case. More chance of driveline breakage, worse mpg, longer stopping distance, etc, etc.

The method wheels have a good track record in the hammers and are pretty light too. I just would like to know what, if any, other options there are.

My 17" TrailReady's weigh 39lb. IIRC, they are lightest mainstream beadlock.

(Do I get double credit for also being "the guy" in the above referenced Slab weight post?)

Yes of course, you are a very helpful guy, lol

So you got rid of the slabs and switch to trailreadys? How come?

Its hard for me to believe that. I remember questioning Method a long time ago before they become super popular and they couldnt get me a straight forward answer on whether that included bolts and ring or not.

Primarily because I got bigger axles which changed bolt pattern. Secondarily, Made in USA and went for different look.

Looks technically true ... if one were to purchase their 15x8 (not sure on inclusion of ring & bolts).

The 17x9, 5x5 pattern, 3.5" offset are showing 35lbs (same ? on ring/bolts). (MR10579050338B)

Fuel has their Trophy Forged beadlock listed as 31 pounds so again really hard for me to believe the KMC is coming in under that in a non forged version

The newer machined rims are 25-27lbs. I should have asked for the blank rim which can be drilled for a 5x5 bolt pattern. The weights are at the link

Try again. Take your wheel, stick it on your bathroom scale, and report back. I don't care what websites say.

Relax. I don't have a horse in the race. Only reporting what I found in an attempt to help the OP.

Just for the hell of it I called Performance Plus in Calif to ask about weight. They had to call KMC and reported to me the weight of the XD222 17x8.5, 5 bolt. 4.75 offset is 42.6 lbs. This would make you 100% right.

Relax? Sorry boss but this is my job. I deal with heavy ass wheels every day. I've also seen the games businesses play. This isn't just the wheel business it is also the tire business.

I will never relax when it comes to finding out the truth. Everything bows to truth. And that truth comes from sticking your wheels on a scale and taking picture proof. Until then... you relax. Unless you have a wheel that you're willing to put on a scale.

I'm looking at getting some from DV8 Off-road, and theirs weigh in the low 30s from what they told me. I like them, and even more so since they are different than the same beadlocks everyone else is running.

As guessed by several here, method's 30lbs figure is without ring/hardware. With ring and hardware 35lbs 6.75oz
