17" or 18" wheel

This is my first post. I am looking at wheel and tires for my 2013 Rubicon. I really like the XD rockstar II wheels, but in 18" they only sell them with 0 offset. They do make a 17" with the -12 offset. Then I found rugged ridge wheels in an 18" with 4.75 offset. What are the pros and cons of 17 vs 18? I can assume the 17 is the better choice maybe because of the bigger sidewall? Educate me please.

I have 17s and they are great! The sidewall length is a concern if you wheel it. If you drive it more than 98% on road go with a smaller sidewall tire to help with handling. A bigger sidewall will help when you air down, you will get more flex with the tire.

17's will perform better off the road when aired down. For street use, 18's will perform a bit better because of less sidewall roll in turns. I recommend getting 17s because you will have more choices and there's a lot of demand for this wheel size if you plan to sell them in the future. Try to check out the ATX-- http://4wheelonline.com/ATX_Wheels.137603 since XDs are pretty common.
