Newbie learning how to get around the Forum

Hello everyone,

I've explored this forum and I'm finding very helpful and eye opening information.
I've owned my JK 2011 Sport for 7 years now and never knew there were Jeep forums available with so much information.
The reason I was looking into a forum for info is because I lifted my jeep and now I'm looking into new tires and wheels.

well, if in those 7 years you'd searched even once for "Jeep JK" the Google's woulda returned at least one ' jkowners.com' search result.
Regardless, welcome.

to limit searches to just this forum , enter your Google search field terms like this example:

best daily driver tires site:jkowners.com

we also have a tire&wheel section.

glad to make your acquaintance & ....if you like it here , plz have a thick skin! The members love pushin' buttons if someone doesn't explain the research they've done before asking.

everyone really appreciates pics, too.

welcome to jkowners.

Welcome newbie.

There's a wealth of opinion on tire/wheels and various lifts. Use the search like mentioned above to find hundreds of comments in numerous threads on the subject.

We get a lot of drive-by folks that pop on to the forum, ask a question that's been answered a hundred times before, then disappear to never be heard from again. Some of us long-time members get a little testy about it.

Your answers are most likely here already, if not ask away.

Now back to a 2013 JKU Rubicon with "stuff", planning 37's with minimal lift.

I've tried them all... Jeeps are still the best. (0||||0)

Before I found jko I would Google for answers to my questions, I would see search results for Jeep forums but never joined. I would also use the Jeep dealership I bought my Jeep from for answers. Also being retired I have more time on my hands.

Thanks for the welcome.

My understanding is that I can't post pictures until I'm over 10 posts. I have tried and I get an error msg.

Yes, there is a minimum post count before you can post pictures, but I believe you can link to them.... maybe.

The picture hosting on this forum is pretty limited. Most of us store pictures online with sites like imugr, flickr, or photobucket.... then we just copy the link from that site and paste it into our posts using the image tool (it's an icon in the posting page that looks like a tiny picture of a mountain) click it, paste in the url from your image site, and it will display the image in your post, without needing to upload it to the forum.

Thanks for the tip on Google searching for specific items (best daily driver tires site:jkowners.com) that saves a lot of time.

Hey sprkeng,

I threw down a bunch of information in reply to your questions in the 35s thread.

If you have any further questions, just ask - we need something to argue about

Also, WELCOME TO JKO!
