Hello from So Cal

new to this forum and the JKU but this is my 4th jeep so I have some experience with them...just havent had one in like 15 years.
I picked up a 2009 JKU Rubicon with about 80k on the clock with an automatic transmission.
overall its in great shape...just little things I've replaced like shocks and drag link and the tie rod so far.
now I need to change the front axle shafts as I have leakage out of the passenger side.

Welcome to JKO.

The axle seal needs to be replaced not the axle shaft.

Welcome to the forum. As Gunny says, likely a nicked / torn seal within your axlehousing is letting diff fluid escape ...it can sometimes go unnoticed until a diff fluid overfilling might allow it to leak ( or bad enuff seal damage to just leak without overfilling)

A common occurrence easily fixed .
