Hey from IN

Hey everyone, I've been behind the scenes for a long time researching mods, following a few builds, getting new ideas for a while. I decided I should probably go ahead and join in. I'm located in northern Indiana. I was into diesel trucks and quads growing up. After purchasing a 99 grand cherokee to take to the dunes and beat on, I knew this would be my new addiction. I've now had my 2008 JK for over a year and it has been everything from a daily driver to sunday cruiser to weekend wheeler. It's a perfect all around vehicle and I plan to keep modding it to be even better. I'll post pics once I figure out how.. I haven't been on any forums since photobucket decided to start charging and I refuse to pay...

UPDATE: I finally took the time to setup an imgur account. Good to go. Here are some pics

2008 JK 2.5" Rock Krawler/ Teraflex Lift, 37" Copper STT Pros, 17" DirtyLife Beadlock wheels, 5.13 gears, Truetrac in rear, Genright tube fenders, poison spyder aluminum inner fenders, custom built bumpers

Welcome. If you have not been to the Badlands Offroad Park, give it a try, great place to wheel.

Some build info here:

Welcome.

We split time between Indiana and Montana. I've wheeled at the Badlands, Haspin Acres, and help layout trails at the Redbird state OHV park back in the day. All great places to wheel. I've been wanting to check out "Rob's Place", which is south of Indy, almost to Kentucky. I keep seeing their FaceBook posts.

Now back to a 2013 JKU Rubicon with "stuff", planning 37's with minimal lift.

I've tried them all... Jeeps are still the best. (0||||0)

I have wheeled badlands multiple times with quads. I've taken my grand cherokee there a few times and will be going there in 2 weeks with the JK. We usually go to Bundy Hill in Michigan because it's close enough to just go for the day. I would like to make a trip to Haspin Acres this summer also. I haven't been there yet.

My experience with haspin acres is that it's a bit of a free for all. lots of half drunken high speed quads and bikes mixed in with a few Jeeps and even some full-sized trucks. Pretty much anything goes. Not always very family friendly and sometimes a bit frightening.

That is why we haven't made the trip down there. Don't get me wrong, our group likes to drink, but there's a time and place for it and behind the wheel isn't one of them. Too much risk of personal injury or even worse hurting someone else.
