From Porsche to Jeep

Well a little change of hobby here. Always loved Jeeps...drive a '14 Grand Cherokee now with 51k miles as my road work vehicle. I decided to sell off my Porsche Carrera GTS and get out of doing track events recently for a while at least. Too many accidents with students, instructors and solo drivers dieing on the track and the cost was getting out of hand.

So I got a new 2015 Rubicon w/ 4.10 gears, auto, 730n radio/nav and hard top.

Plan on either a Rock Krawler or Metal Cloak lift, Level 8 Bully Pro Wheels and probably BF Goodrich or Cooper STi Pro 35" tires to start things off.

I need to pick out a rear tire carrier and a soft top too. Not sure If I need to change out the rear bumper too for a bumper tire carrier combo???

Couple picks of the Porsche and the Jeep. I did a lot of mods to the Porsche...fun solid track/street car.

Welcome !!

A Porsche is going to be the first retirement toy I buy ! Always wanted a GT3, but never practical for me at all to have.

Not 100% sure, but think your track times are going to suffer.

Yep GT3 is IT....I never could drive one because I'm a full left leg amputee...got hit riding my motorcycle a long time ago so,I can't push a clutch. The GTS had PDK...shifts like a F1 car...now the new GT3 has PDK...but...I'm out for a while I believe.
I'm going to slow way down, relax enjoy the scenery off road now.

What makes you think he's going to stay on the track when he can cut all the corners he wants?

Nice 911, and nice Hard Rock, mdrums. I've got a red one. I know I have way more fun driving my Jeep than I did with my Porches.
