Did I just get a steal of a lifetime?

Well, relatively speaking. I just purchased a 2008 Rubicon 4 Door with 22k miles. I purchased it for 28k, and was able to get all aftermarket parts warranteed. The parts list is as follows-

Factory Options

Touch screen Nav
Electronic sway bar disconnect
Infinity sound system
Power everything

Aftermarket

4.5 inch BDS long arm lift
37" toyo m/t (5)
17" Pinter beadlock wheels (5)
Warn 9k lbs winch
Warn stubby front bumper
5.13 gears
Superchip
Frame welded d ring mounts
Fab fours rock sliders
Single stack LED light bar
smittybilt fender flares
Unknown exhaust
Cobra CB radio
OR fab jerry can tire carrier.

I priced everything out and it seems to total over $10k uninstalled. The blue book of the car is at $27k in great condition and that is at 89k miles. Did I get a great deal?

Looks Great!
How did you pull off a warranty on the aftermarket parts?

Not to be a buzz kill but....
I work for a Jeep dealership and sorry to say it sounds like they fed you a line of BS to sell you the extended warranty. The dealership doesn't generally set the rules on claims, the underwriter does. If the jeep was ever "flagged" for aftermarket parts, that flag still follows it and will cause problems for claims in the future. FYI In Iowa you have 6 days to cancel any extended coverages. Just want you to be careful, an F&I office can be a confusing place to be and one can easily end up spending more money then needed.

Not that it is that big of a deal because of the aftermarket parts, but be sure its a rubicon !

dealerships are known to throw rubicon stickers on for the unsuspecting customer who isnt familair enough with the packaging ?

Small used car dealer tried that BS with me.... they didnt even bother removing the X stickers so it had both

from Palmer in Roswell, Ga?

I would say you got a very reasonable deal, not sure its a steal of a lifetime but a decent deal.

If that warranty holds up, it may be a steal...and if you got it at Palmer, you did well. They put the most ridiculous prices on some of there jeeps.

edit: suck that winch line in or your thimble will be banging around. You don't want your thimble banging around

Small used car lots, yes.

yea, sorry for any confusion. I would not suspect a Jeep dealership. Wasn't sure where he bought it. I have seen some on larger dealerships that were trade ins though

That is definitely Palmer from the pics.

I wouldn't call it a steal by any stretch, but an okay deal.

Palmer is great dealer though and will not pull any of that bullshit of not warrantying a Jeep because it's been modded.
