New to Jeeps - have first question

Hi, so I just bought my first Jeep. A 2007 2-dr Sahara
6sp manual which only had one previous owner. I love it so far! It had 23,000 miles on it when I got it. Right now it's got Bridgestone A/T Duelers; P255/70R-18. Pretty worn with what looks like all highway miles on them.

For now, I plan on doing some light off-roading maybe once every other month or so on the weekend. Last weekend I went to Rausch Creek off road park in PA and had a blast. It was a guided ride for beginners and stock vehicles.

Looking for some advice on whether or not I should just stay with the Duelers or go with something different and/or a little bigger.

Can my Sahara in it's stock form accommodate 33" tires. If so, what would the size number be to get to 33"?

Sorry for the noob question - thanks!

Stock? I don't think so.

All it'd take is a very affordable leveling kit of some sort though and you could be on 33-34" tires.

Welcome to JKO.

Welcome to JKO...

for 33s i would reccommend getting a set of rubi springs, which should lift you up at least an inch...

welcome! for 33in tires? depends if you intend on using stock wheels as well. I ran with 33x12.5 tires and aftermarket wheels with 4.5 backspacing without a lift for awhile and only rubbed at full turn. That and I couldn't disconnect my swaybars when offroading.

Search around the modified jk section, its covered extensively
