Newb From CT

Hey I am flippin' psyched! Been a lurker then registered and took til now after months of searching, Finally got my JK! So I figured I can post up now LOL! Been wanting one scince 2007 and yesterday I got my 2010 Rubi Surf Blue with everything but leather! So no more just reading the forums (And man I mean READING .. whew! Alot of you guys made me laugh big time my dejected humor will fit in great here!) ... I am a certified JK owner.

I am not new to wheeling or Jeepin' but never had a Jeep of MY own. Always tinkering or building someone elses. 360 powered CJ7 , Crawlers, and a XJ here and there. It is going to be nice to fit down trails and not high center on things. With my other toy, 01 Cummins lightly built (507hp/1030Tq on the dyno) she is fast as hell and somehow amazingly capable trailwise, I could wheel but would be the "Gear Guy" as sooner or later the going got tight and tough the truck just was too big.

Dana 80 Abuse LOL!

Funny addition to this

My pic hosting site is lagging so refresh to see the 4bt convert. I have not seen this guy in 4 years but i hear the Jeep is flat out NASTY!

I was stopped at the gas station today and was asked "How the hell did you get a Rubicon in this color?" I said I was having trouble finding one and thought I even heard somwhere that for 2010 Surf blue Rubicons were unavailable due to the Islander coming?. Like I said before I have been shopping for a long time and really wanted a Surf but couldn't find one so my Backup was Flame Red ...

Well Flame became just about impossible to find and was going to get my old tried and true White. The Day I went to have the dealer get the stone white one from another dealer in state, We tried the locator one last time as I just did the night before and had no luck then so why now? Bingo it was found as it was being logged into inventory out of state. Almost like the 7 tooth God was smiling down upon me.

For giggles I just now went and built my own on the Jeep website and sure enough ..... Try and build a Surf Blue Rubicon and add the dual top option .... NO GO? The guy was right! Cool as hell I say. Is there any truth to what I am finding about availability or is this all in coincidence?

The wife took it for a rip the other day and called me. "Why am I getting waved at ... How can everybody know you got a new Jeep?"

I laughed and told her to try and wave every WRANGLER you see. She said why? ... I started to say "it's" ... and she finished with "A jeep thing" She then asked why do i get mixed up in all theese automotive clubs. First it was the Diesel community you started 10 years ago (Which is huge now) Now it's you and Jeeps!

I told her she was dead wrong. I as is it still is the Diesel Community AND Jeep community. .... Just don't get all cranky when I am part of the DIESEL JEEP community
