Exactly. With how new JKs are, usually reusing the bearings is just fine. If yours has had a hard life or a ton of miles, replacing bearings is cheap insurance.

It may be a no name brand at that price. I'll wait for his answer before I order a set.

ETA:
I received an answer via pm. These are a very well known brand, but he is selling them below MAP, so he had to remove the brand from the web page.

12k miles, probably ok with original bearing if you have changed your diff fluid.

If this a a quality set with not made in china crappy bearings, then the master kit is cheap insurance. If they use crappy china parts, stick with oem.

Talked to Kevin earlier today. Call these guys...these aren't no-name gears and this is a steal of a deal.

4WS are good folks!

We aren't allowed to advertise the brand at this price. They are a major brand that we have been installing for years. If you need more specific information, please PM me.

Yes, the "Not a Rubicon" option gets you D30 front gears.

At 12,000 miles you should be good with the minimum kit.

Just a heads up. We are out of gears, waiting on more to arrive. They are in transit and expected to be here Friday. As soon as they arrive, we will get orders filled.

Any orders placed will have an authorization placed against your card, but will not actually be charged until the gears ship.

Thanks for all the orders!

It's pretty difficult to put too much gear in a JK. I wouldn't have a problem running 5.13s with 35s and auto. The debate would be between 4.88s and 5.13s. I think that with the auto, the 5.13s would be great.

What price can you do for some 4.56 gears? Non-Rubicon with a 6speed manual.

Estimated effort? I guess it depends on the tools and experience of the installer. With the min kit, you will need to have a bearing puller that will not ruin your bearings. We use the Yukon clamshell style and it works great. In addition, you will need other specialty tools like a dial indicator w/ stand, calipers to measure shims and a huge breaker bar to tighten the pinion nut enough to crush the crush sleeve. I would recommend getting the help of a buddy that has set up gears in the past if you plan to do this yourself and haven't set up gears.

Yes, but not immediately. If anybody else is interested in 5.38 or 4.88 please let me know. FYI, 5.38 would only be an option for Rubicons.
