Sedona 14-15 Oct

Coming out from CA for my b'day. I've been to Sedona a few times (born/raised in Phx) but all before owning a jeep. My wife and I want to do some trails. If anyone wants to join in on a mid week run, we'll be looking to do 2-3 trails on the 15th.

I was up there on Memorial day and rented a jeep from Barlow's and did two trails. There is broken arrow and soldiers pass. Broken arrow has all the pink jeeps on it and they are fucking dicks. You can easily do both in just the morning.

Rented jeeps is probably the biggest competition for the jeep tours. I can't imagine it on Memorial Day. Yikes! Just realized I'll be there on a holiday (Columbus Day). Just the arrival, though. The day on the trails will be Tuesday.

We will take a lot of time on the trails for photos, letting the mrs drive, etc. if it doesn't take all day, we'll head back to the valley early and maybe take a trail closer to lake pleasant or saguaro.

Not sure if this was his experience but I've heard some act/drive like they own the trails. Example: they will stop in middle of the trail for passengers to take pics while you're behind them. Again, just what I've heard.

Cuz pink jeeps is a business and they have a schedule to keep. The faster they go the more revenue they make.

Except for getting stuck on the north end of town coming back from Flagstaff because Sedona is too stupid with their traffic lights it wasn't really that bad. One day was spent heading to the grand canyon so we didn't have to deal with that traffic and one day we went to Jerome and Prescott.

So looking like I'll do Broken Arrow, Cliffhanger, Soldier's Pass and Schnebly. Of course, I got most of this from youtube. ??? I realize this won't challenge me but I'm sure some will be fun for the Mrs. Probably just let her drive some of it to get her feet wet, so to speak. From what I've read, most (if not all) can be done in one day?

They may not be too difficult but they are lots of fun (at least for me) nice "worry free" wheeling...and since I drove a mostly stock YJ (Body lift and 33s) from Illinois to Sedona the smaller the chance of breaking the better...

I havnt been back in 10 years soo take lots of pics .

If anyone would like to smack a pink jeep I'd be forever grateful.

Funny memory. The only time I've been to Sedona we experienced half of the recorded rain fall for the entire year. We were there for 3 days.
