Anyone know what gears to run after you lift and swap tires. I have seen all the formulas and stuff but I always get different sizes. It's time to pull the trigger and re gear so the wife will be happy

Thanks and happy trails

Oklahoma B.S.

My fault... 13 jku 315/70/17 auto trans and it's wife daily and weekend mudding/ backroading I figured 4.56 stock ratio was 3.21. Strange just a unlimited sport gears would fix me for a little bit. Figured for no more as she goes off roading
no need for axles and such as of yet till she gets more comfortable eh

4.56 or 4.88 should be good.

Don't go deeper than 4.56 on that Jeep with 315s/35s on it.

3.73s and 4.10s are usually fine for most people on the newer Jeeps with the auto and 35s so 4.56 will sing a little on the highway, but you'll have lots of power.

You can do an AEV ProCal or Superchips Flashcal which does not offer any power programming, only changes the tire size, gear ratio, and a few other things. You can also do a Superchips Flashpaq which will give you the option to give the motor a tuning curve on top of the other parameter changes.

She just wants her fuel mileage back since kids are playing football and she traveling I have the procal module for tire size right now but I am guessing I need to put the gears in and then re flash it and say I put gears in it also correct? What you mean by sing? Lol

You're not going to gain mileage running 4.56s with 35s. You'll probably end up about the same as you are now.

By sing I mean it'll be running higher than optimal RPMs, the motor will be singing a little so to speak.

If you already have the ProCal you can just re-gear it and then change that parameter with the Pro Cal and be good to go.

Hey everyone just stopping in to introduce myself I have been a stalker of the forums for some time looking into places folks go to wheel close to Tulsa. After getting my jeep earlier this year the family and I are starting to get the itch to hit the trails. I wanted to see if anyone was heading out to trails near Tulsa in the near future? Would like to go with people who know more about the surrounding trails and what is appropriate for a mostly stock JKU........working on changing that part.

Thanks!

There are some great groups in the Tulsa area. Unfortunately this thread has died with FB groups taking over. I would check out 918 JK, Oklahoma Jeepers and Jeepers Anonymous.

EVO King Coil overs on front 3.5" Rock Krawler springs Radflo shocks on rear, RK Long Arm, ARB Stubby front, DNA rear winch bumper, 37" Super Swamper M16 on Raceline Monster Beadlocks, Rockhard 4X4 cage......

Saying hello from beautiful S.E. Oklahoma. Going with the much lower gears are great for rock crawling but not so great for a daily driver.
