Ferndale Area

May be getting a job in Ferndale, WA and was wondering if any of y'all are from that area.

Looking for a general scouting report, can anyone help??

Thanks!!

How are your banjo playing skills? Just kidding, it's not too bad. B'ham is a college town and not much else. You are close to some good wheeling, and the scenery is spectacular. Plus it's a short drive to Vancouver BC, which is a great city.
The weather up there tends to be a bit colder and windier during the 9 crappy months of weather we get. If you crave urban action, reserve a hotel room and make the haul down to Seattle for the weekend.
Post up if you make the move, we have a good group of wheelers up here and always happy to introduce new folks.

Make sure you bring cheesesteaks with you. You wont find any real good ones on this side of the country. And yes BC is close. lots of guys wheeling all the time up here.

forgot about the soft pretzels. Yum. and the tomatoe pie. Damn I want to go back to Philly. Maybe bring the Flyers with you as well. Then I can watch them play more. Wishful thinking I know. Actually there is a new Cheesesteak place in Vancouver. The owners went to Philly for the know how. Apperantly they import most of their stuff from Philly. But not the buns. Damn they were good down there.

I think the best I had when there was at Steaks on South. Way better than Genos or Pats or even Tony Lukes.
