Camping near portland

Hey i live in wa and i am sick of trying to find good places to camp here and sick of their dog laws in the mountains. Does anyone know of some good places to go camping near portland. Not to far from there because it already takes me about an hour and half to get there. Thanks

What are the dog laws you are referring to?

2008 Rubicon, 4 door Detonator yellow, 3.5" lift, Motech LS 6L engine conversion, RR Skids.

If you are willing to drive little farther south, try Silverfalls State Park near Salem.

thanks for the responses. And the laws i am referring to are how restrictive WA is on where you can take your dogs. Lots of the woodland areas you cant take them.

As far as I know, dogs aren't allowed on National Park Hiking trails.

However, to the best of my knowledge there are no rules prohibiting dogs on National Forest campgrounds/land, which still leaves plenty of places to go. Also, while I am not sure what type of camping you are looking at doing, I don't think there are any issues with pets at state parks either.
