Trails for beginners near Portland

Since I am a complete novice I have been wanting to get out there and try my first trail. Just looking for some suggestions near Portland for a beginner with a stock JK unlimited.

About an hour out is Browns Camp, there are quite a few trails that are easy but it's kind of confusing to get around once in there. I have went with my kid a couple times and still couldn't navigate around it with a map. If you can hook up with someone or a group that knows the area you'd have a blast. The stock JK would surprise you as to the trails you can take.

You can download a PDF file with a pretty decent Browns Camp trail map here.
