Removing Bedliner

sooo i sprayed my tailgate about a year ago with bedliner (dont ask why) and now i want to go back to the stock silver. how would i remove bedliner since its rough and also should i even try myself or just take my jeep to macco or a paint shop

you are not going to be able to JUST remove the bedliner, it will need to be repainted.

A new tailgate door cost 400 not painted and an extra 200 to paint it ..unless I find something cheaper theres no way im spending 600 on a tailgate door

What type of bedliner? Crappy rattle can bedliner or a real brush/roll or sprayed bedliner?

If crappy, it can be sanded and shot over. If heavy-duty, media blasted maybe but you'd probably be better off with a new/used gate.

easiest thing to do would probably just sand it down by hand and have it resprayed.

i just got rear ended last week and my tailgate was dented soo now my jeep is at the body shop and insurance is paying for the damage and theyre gonna make my tailgate silver again .. YES!!
