Evo because it was cheap and I don't wheel hard enough so stock skids will work until I bash them in. I just wanted to protect the horn.

Don't forget JCR.

Benny needs to get on it we ace and come up with some 1/4" skids.

My skids come tomorrow. Stop by afterword to check them out.

Where did you get your prices at? I just found the full river raider skids for a JKU bare steel for 984.00. If your order total is over 1000.00 there is free shipping. Check out morris 4x4.

Most of those prices are just from the manufacturers site. I have yet to start doing bargain shopping past a few minutes on northridge and Amazon. Thanks for the info though. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to finding the best price on each one

Nevermind, UCF only has an improved crossmember, no other skids.

I have a jcr tcase skid and evap skid sitting in my garage that I haven't had time to install. I received it as a gift back in may or June. Seems like a nice skid though. Maybe I will make time soon

My problem with the JCR skid is the same problem I have with a lot of the lower cost ones I found. I believe, in their desire to keep their skid plates compatible with multiple lifts and long arm kits they sacrifice coverage of the crossmember. That being said in my mind/justification/logic the cost of a HD crossmember needs to be added into the price to at least make it a more apples to apples comparison because the stock crossmember is taking a beating with the stock skid coverage that is similar in that area.

I thought about just beefing up the crossmember while it's still in tact. Not sure how well it will hold up, but worth a shot since I have a ton of scrap laying around the garage.

I think that's a good call

I didn't look into it too much, but mine looked a bit "different" right in front of the gas tank.

I've got the combo platter of EVO and Rockhard on my junk.

I guess we'll see how well they hold up after their first wheeling trip this coming weekend.

This is my 2nd rock hard gas skid. I had one on last 4dr but sold it after I traded it last year. It held up reasonably well considering it was on a stock Rubicon and got dragged over just about everything due to my rig being vertically challenged. When I pulled it, there was a slight bend to it but the stock skid had nothing more than the dent I incurred prior to installed the rock hard skid.

Sure my rig has seen the trail, but I wheel it like a soccer mom looking for a parking spot at Nordstroms.
