Meet n Greet June 9 Romeo, Mi area

what: jeep and guns; cook out and shoot clay pigeons.
when: June 9, 11:00- 5pm
where: North Macomb Sportsman's Club, Washington Twp. and my farm.

details:
arrive club (address below)11:30-noon
http://www.northmacomb.info/
shoot clays for a couple hours then hang out at my barn cooking out and talking jeeps and offroading.

*************need head count within 2 weeks please.************

bring your own lawnchair.
Cookout is pot luck, so let's build up a list of who is bringing what to share.
I will have grill and cooler of ice.

Shooting info:

We will be shooting at noon at my local private gun club, both skeet and 5-stand. I am an instructor and will assist you all in the “how to’s” As my guests, your only cost for shooting will be $4 for Skeet and $5 for 5-stand. http://www.northmacomb.info/
-Shotguns only! (in good working condition, 20 and 12 guage perferred)
**No shotguns permitted with no safety or non-working safety.**
Install the widest choke tubes you have. Skeet is best, but IC will do. If all you have is a fixed mod choke bring it anyway. If you DO NOT own a shotgun, no worries, you can borrow one.

-ammo
You will need a minimum of 2 boxes (25 per box)
Bring “target” loads only. No steel shot, no field loads, no sporting clay loads, ONLY loads made for target shooting and with speeds under 1,250 fps.
Dick’s sporting Goods sells Federal Target loads called “Top Gun”, these are best for this purpose and you will need the #8 shot size. http://www.federalpremium.com/produc...ll.aspx?id=446
You may purchase target shells at the club too, however they will not be cheap $7-9.

How many clays do you think I could hit with my AR?

kidding...

I don't think however my Mossy 500 home defense model would be a very good clay gun.

I have an old school 410 shotgun that I have not had a chance to fire yet. I thought it was a .22 when I first got it.

when you see the price of 410 shells you may leave it at home and borrow someone's 12 guage. plus a 410 is useless on the 5-stand range. but bring it for the home thrown stuff. your call.

Last time I shot a shot gun was about 9 years ago and it was to remove some hinges off of doors, with a stack of 4 behind.

This could be a little more challenging.

Thanks Jamie for hosting this!

Damn... I'll be out of town at a soccer tournament. That sucks since I was going to bring a 1728 French Army Model Fusil and an 1809 British Brown Bess, both flint locks and both a lot of fun to shoot. One is a .68 cal and the other .75cal and they both have a really good pop.

Hope there's another opportunity to do this some time soon.

So, seeing how this is an actual club, I assume the rules do not allow 15 rd clips and 6 size shot? Bummer.

Current Fleet:

1984 - Corvette - Drift Beater
2005 - SRT4 - 400 whp sleeper
