Any Michigan Jeepers here?

The Great Lakes area here seems to be quiet and wondering if there any Michigan Jeepers around the area on the forum.

Great... I have been browsing around the board for some time and did not see that much activity in the Great Lakes States and wondered who all was from the state. Looking to find more people to wheel with throughout the state in my free time.

Hi oz97tj,

I think that we chatted a bit over on the GLFWDA board if you use the same name there also.

Yup, that was me. I'm rather new here due to just picking up the JK, but I've been around GLFWDA for a while now.

If your looking for people to wheel with, keep an eye on that site. There are all sorts of events planned this summer, including a traveling event in June starting at Silver Lake and stopping at Twisted Trails, and then to Drummond Island over the course of 4 days. We've been working hard planning it and it should be a great time! Also, GLFWDA is always looking for help from the wheeling community.

Shoot me a pm here, or over there anytime and I'd be happy to introduce you to some people...

Also, I see your in Saginaw. I have family up near West Branch and go up there often and try to get some wheeling in as much as possible so we could get together and do some wheeling anytime.

I'll be in Indian for the Truck and Tractor Nationals the end of May. I'll be judging the truck show with GLFWDA. Come look me up and say hi!

Another MI Jeeper from Lansing. I think most still spend their time over at GL4x4. I came looking for JK info.

We are going to have to get together for a run; maybe hit one of the parks in Michigan, or head to the badlands… I am going to run Twisted Trails and Rocks and Valleys soon, I will post up when I can.

The only legal place I am aware of in SE Michigan is the Mounds in Mt Morris, Michigan.

Not much wheeling in the SE except for the Mounds. You'd be better off hooking up with somebody and going north.

Check out GLFWDA.org and you can meet lots of people in Michigan to wheel with.

Sounds great. I am always ready to ride and just talking with the wife about heading over to Silver Lake and camp for a week sometime this summer.

GLFWDA is putting on an event June 11-14 where we are going to start at Silver Lake, take trails to Twisted Trails, take scenic roads to camp at Wilderness State park up near Mackinac, then all go to Drummond Island and hit Turtle Ridge and the new ORV Routes on the island.

It will be a great time. Come join us!

I am trying to work my schedule so that I can make at least part of this trip; if I can it will probably only be either TT, or Drummond... More than likely just TT...
