Ohio fender laws?

Anyone know what Ohios fender laws are?

dont think that there is a fender law.. my tires stick out past my fenders.. n i know alot of others that r the same way..

Yeah there isn't much that I know of. With my 37's and my new tires they'll stick out way past.

When I'm ready those flares are getting replaced with just some tubing and that's it.

I haven't ran a rear bumper, license plate light or third brake light in about a month and I haven't been hassled.

I know I know. Its not illegal til you get caught. But have any of you guys gotten pulled over?

Nope....I have a cop that walks our lot in the evening that is also an offroader and I've talked to him several times. I asked him about mirrors (only need one) fenders etc and nothing I have done is illegal. I think there is something for bumper height, but nothing that we as Jeepers should ever have to worry about.

A buddy runs the Smittybuilt XRC fenders without issue

Yup I found it... There is no fender coverage law in Ohio that affects Jeeps.

Most laws like mirrors, fenders, bumper heights and exhaust laws are not really inforced in ohio. I think the only way to get a ticket for these kind of thing is pissing the cops off.

If the cops even know them. I've asked a bunch at work about things like bumper height and I swear they look at me like I have three heads. Most don't care enough to know.

Its a jeep thing, cops don't understand
