Gear Installers - Metro Detroit Area?

Does anyone know of some place reasonable that installs gears in the Detroit area? I'd prefer someone that has done the JK Rubicon before...but hell if its cheap I'm willing to be their guinea pig

I take mine to Waterford Ring and Pinion. May be a little drive for you but he does great work. Also, if you pull your axles and drop them off to him, it's really damn cheap too.

I didn't look at your location, but yeah it's not that far from you. Even dropping the jeep off, he is reasonably priced.

If you are willing to drive to Ft Wayne, IN there is a couple guys that have done a lot of ours around here in Indiana. One of the guys actually works for Dana and helped develop the gear set for the JK...can't get more in with familiarity than that

I think their current price is $175 an axle for gears only.

Yep, the guys in Ft. Wayne charge $175 an axle and you obviously supply the gears. I just spoke to them about a week ago and he said that they will do the C gussets at the same time for $75. He told me that the best C gussets to get are the Offroad Evolution ones that have the lower control arm skid plate, I think they are $109 for the set. He also told me that the gears that they have had the best luck with are the Motive gears and I am currently trying to track some down for the JK.

I have also heard that AEV right there in Detroit does gears as well. I would either go to Get Bent Kustoms in Ft. Wayne or AEV as they probably have the most experience with gears

Jeeperz Creeperz. Kevin is the owner and he does all the work. I used to live out that direction and went there for pretty much all my off roading needs. He's got everything at that shop and he can install everything if you dont have the time. Great guy to deal with and he's very active in the great lakes 4x4 commmunity

Kevin is a great guy and a huge supporter of GLFWDA. I know him well and would recommend him to anyone for anything if you're nearby.
