Great Lakes UA run / Blessing of the Jeeps

The Blessing of the Jeeps event is Saturday May 1st. I was thinking of making a weekend run out of this event sort of our own JK Ultimate Adventure. I checked into it and Rocks and Valleys will be open on Friday and Twisted trails will be open on Sunday.

If you haven't heard of the Blessing of the Jeeps it is a really big event. I would bet there is no other place in the world where you can see this many Jeeps in one place.

So the Agenda will go something like this:

Friday Rocks and Valleys - Harrison Mi then travel 1 hour to Mesick
Saturday Blessing of the Jeeps - Mesick
Sunday Twisted trail - Copemish 15 min from Mesick

Mesick has a State Park for camping if you want to stick closely to the UA format or they also have Hotels with swiming pools for the kids.

Here is some info on the Parks:

Sounds cool. I've missed the blessing the last couple years due to scheduling conflicts, but I need to get up to it sometime. Maybe with the parks thrown in, this would be a good year.

On a side note, last summer GLFWDA did an event UA style starting in Silver Lake, running pretty much all trails to Twisted Trails, then made our way to Drummond Island via scenic roads. Was a good time!

Nice first post Dave! I'm going to make it this year if it kills me...
