Old Indian Trail Northern Michigan

I wanted to see if anyone had any information on The Old Indian Trail in north west Michigan? We found a couple of markers in the woods last weekend and cannot find any information online about the trail. The markers said Old Indian Trail, Cadillac to Traverse City and had numbers on them. We were on two tracks around the Manistee river when we found these. Any info would be great.

Thanks, but from what I can tell this is supposed to be a back road trail from Cadillac Mi to Traverse City Mi. When I found these I was on a two track along the Manistee river, but could not find any other markers. I have been trying to find a map showing the numbered markers and where they are, but have not had any luck. I am going to keep driving around the area and see if I can find anymore and try to piece together a map.

Here's a link to a little more info on these markers and locations of more. From what I have read some of the trail may be roads now.

That is it. One of the markers we found was on a dirt road near some houses, but the other was back in the woods at the bottom of a hill that was steep and sandy that I needed to use 4 wheel drive to get up. Looks like we have something to do this weekend. Thanks.
