JW Corbett Run 11/21 -11/22

Anyone up for starting to plan a JW Corbett trip in November?
With a lot of rides and events coming up in the next couple months I thought we'd set our sights on November for this.

Nov 21st and 22nd. It's closer to December so the water levels shouldn't be crazy HIGH. and it's open to General Gun so all the trails will be opened.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PAY AH TEN SHUN! LOL!
Each morning (Saturday and Sunday) we will meet at the South Gate (or the Northlake entrance for some of you) at 10:00 AM.
This is where the pay station is.... remember to bring correct change as they do not make change for you. $3 per vehicle with driver only and $6 max per vehicle with passengers.
coordinates to the South Gate are 26.853639,-80.292586

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm game for a Corbett run but that may change depending on what college dictates. I'll have to check my tentative schedule next week and get back with you.

Can you post any pics from the last time you went... just for an idea of what it looks like? I may want to make a trip down to Florida to go wheeling with you guys one of these days... since you probably won't come to WI to do it!

Rubbish!! I have gone thru some of the deepest holes at Corbett (which I don't recommend) and I don't have a snorkel. Any hole that is too deep for a stock Jeep has a bypass. I have run Corbett in the wet season with a stock TJ on 15" cherrios and he was able too complete the entire trail. A snorkel is definitely a plus but not required. That being said, I don't recommend going to Corbett with a CAI. That is just asking for trouble.

You know how I drive, and for the safety of others... I don't wanna electrocute anyone anyways. It is a great excuse for a snorkel though...
You remember the hole that I went straight through? The one that E got stuck in? I know I can run all over that place.

wo wo wo... i give you huge kudos for that hole (and you know i do) but i'll stop you on the straight through part. you did some creative zigs and zags.

and Moose is right... i did Corbett 100 percent stock last year with only a tow point hitch on the back. all the bypasses were very manageable (believe i got framed out in one of those and had to be pulled out ) but a couple stock JKs were also there that day with zero zip nada problems. and you with the BB have an advantage.

Corbett is a different animal in the wet season ... the bottom hardens slightly and helps for traction.. it's not the mucky mess we have come to know this past spring.

you are exactly right. even in Holopaw it's that way right now. virtually no mud, just water holes. funny how the rain/lack of rain changes the topography of the land so drastically in relatively short periods of time.

Corbett sounds so much like the Pine Barrens except there are parts in the Pines that dont have go arounds, like Water Road where we had 4 of 9 jeeps on our snorkel only run stuck at once haha, and doing without a snorkel is ill advised

damnit I wanna go
