OHV areas in Pensacola?

I am currently TDY at NAS Pensacola and will have my JK with me (Will be here till January). Are there any trails/OHV areas close to Pensacola?

Thanks for any help.

Eglin's got about the best wheeling around, just stay out of the clay pits. Most of the other stuff got clobbered by Ivan, or shut down because of quads and bikes tearing stuff up.

There are some decent trails up in Blackwater. Some good ole boy trails up north in the Cantonment and McDavid areas. Just gotta keep an eye out for them. Also, you could get your lunchtime wheeling in behind Phiefer cemetary off Lilian Hwy. Last time I was home they had it blocked off from the cemetary entrance, but it was accessible by taking the power line entrance off of Mobile Hwy across the street from Monterey's.

We may be trying to get up a run to Eglin AFB sometime around November. Maybe you could do some digging for us about requirements, camping, and a good map with the wheeling areas highlighted? Help us out and we may all come to you.

Ditto on the above. You got any info on the place? A posted map would be great, I could take my son over and scout it out.

I did some reasearch and this is what I found:

How to get a pass.
Stop by the Eglin AFB Natural Resources Office (850) 882-
4164 or (850) 882-4165 also known as the Jackson Guard, located at(address below)

Eglin Natural Resources
107 Highway 85 North
Niceville, FL 32578
Their hours are:
7:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday
7:00am - 6:00pm Friday
7:30am - 12:30pm Saturday
Closed Sundays and federal holidays

Still working on getting some maps.
