Spent a great day on Cleghorn today. It was supposed to be 3 of us (1 X model, one rubi and one tahoe). One didn't make it (rubi). Still, being a new jeeper, it wasn't going to be an extreme day. It was the first time to take the jeep out since gearing to 4.88 and doing truetracs front & rear. Gotta say, VERY happy with my choice. I enjoy trails like this more than rock gardens and the traction was amazing. Sucks that my buddy was a HORRIBLE videographer.
The only spots I didn't do were the big trench area and pucker hill. I took just about every other offshoot from the fire road. My buddy's tahoe did most of them, too. Scared me a few times with the tripod stance. Now's the time to head up there....great temps/conditions.
Always follow a great leader. In the absence of a great leader, BE ONE.
