Cool San Diego area JKO

I was wondering who here on JKO is from the San Diego area. Let's speak up, get organized, and start doing some runs.

I'll start . . .

My moniker here is 4x4LOYR, and I'm in the North Inland area mostly (Escondido/San Marcos).

Lakeside

08 Silver 4 Door X - XD Bumpers - Slightly lifted, and some modest welding underneath... and a really loud stereo to block the wind noise

Stone = Mecca for quality-beer lovers.

Which begs the question - why would you want to go there when you drink Coors Light?

Bite me. I like many beers, I just drink what flows in the dirt. Plus, they all taste the same with the dust added...

Well, mr. newcastle.....you might want to steer clear of the Stone Brewing Company, then. Don't know if your tastebuds can handle the shock.

I did a bit of beer-drinking at Stone Brewery last night . Had "Smokey Indians," "Ruined Bastards," some IPAs, and I think maybe a "Smokey Ruination" (the bartenders will mix their beers to create different favors --> the "Smokey Indian" is probably the best. It is 1/2 Smoked Porter, 1/2 IPA.)

It was good times, but I'm hanging now.

I've got plans for lunch on Sunday at Stone Brewery with some friends from out-of-town. My friend reviews beers for some website, and breweries send him samples, so he thinks he is some kind of big shot around beer. Thinks he might "hook us up" while we're at Stone. I've already told him, I'm on a first-name basis with most of the bartenders there, lots of fall off my tab all the time. We'll see who has more *pull* around there, I guess.

it's good for the body, good for the soul.

Loves me some stone. Hey Ogie....we should go down and meet Ty for some beers. My wife is running the OC 1/2 marathon on Sunday, but I'm hoping to be done by lunch.

Anyone else game?

Sheeit. I promised the wife I would play good husband this weekend. Maybe if we get enough stuff done on Saturday that she wants to do, she'll let me sneak out on Sunday.

The plan is to have lunch with our friends at noon. (My wife has to go to some event that starts at 3, but I am sure I can be talked into sticking around longer.)
