Thanksgiving at the Hammers!

We are going to break tradition this year and set-up camp at the Hammers for Turkey day weekend. Its a great place to camp (hopefully the weather will cooperate!) and of course there is lots of room and plenty of trails to run from mild to wild! It is fun just to watch rigs on some of the tougher spots!

All the details have not been hammered out just yet, but its on my calender!!!

All are welcome to join in !!!

We dont have an exact spot- but yes, lakebed- usually west side.

I will try to have the axle in the JK by then, and I also will be bringing my rock buggy.

Hope to see ya out there!

I believe that I will be camping with a group out there somewhere near the Hammers. In that general direction, at least. Post up a location and we'll swing by.

This is also my birthday weekend . . . so I'll expect lots of cold beer and hot women.

Cool--- you guys are more than welcome to camp with us-- the more, merrier!!! Or if you have other plans, maybe we can at least get together for some wheelin' or partayin'!LOL

I am thinking about bringing a band out at least one nite. And I am going to set-up to deep fry a turkey out there--- I am taking suggestions and tips from the experts---- anyone???

I hope we have good weather! Its about 50/50 between good weather and a freaking hurricane-- lets keep our fingers crossed.

Gonna have to figure out what we're doing/where we're going. If we end up at the in-laws, we'll take the 40 home and swing by the day after....if anyone is still out there.

Dirty's Minions don't officially exist. They are a myth, a bedtime story, a whispered rumor. They are ghosts.

The wife and I were just talking about this earlier. We had been going out to Cougar Buttes for the last 5 or 6 years but missed last year. Kid in college and a major medical scare. Anyway, our huge group we normally go with has split/grown older and we need a new group to ride/party with. Get me some details and if we need to bring anything, don't know your group dynamics but we're flexible. So we have a couple of Jeeps, cycles and quads; is that cool?

08 Rubi Unlimited - Steel Blue fully loaded w/Dual tops
Tuffy Console box w/padded arm rest & Misch arm rests
Full Traction 4" Ultimate lift w/Fox Shocks & 1" body lift
AEV beadlocks - Argent w/35" Toyo M/T
Fab Four front w/grill guard and Mile Marker winch &
LoD Rear Bumper w/tire carrier
Mopar Door Sill, Front Hood & Side Window Air Deflectors
Magnaflow 50 Seris Muffler
Woods Evap & Muffler Relocation

All I know is to make sure the bird is COMPLETELY defrosted, and to lower it into the hot oil VERY SLOWLY! If you go too fast, the oil comes boiling out of the pot and can ignite. It can ruin your day.

This will be a "new" Thanksgiving group for us as well. I am not sure who or how many will be coming out or when, so everybody should fend for themselves- basically.
We can all camp together and wheel together. Maybe set-up to eat TG dinner together, but that is difficult to get everyone on the same page. Everybody should make sure they have their own food and shelter. I think there may be some daytrippers during the weekend too.

There is no real plan---- everything is flexible. We probably will head out there on Wed the 25th and stay the weekend. If I need to come home for something, we are only 30 minutes away. And if anyone breaks down or needs something from my shop--- its close too.

We will bring the JK, the rock buggy (SAMSTER), the bikes, maybe a miniMog, etc. So bring all the toys! And the RC cars too.

We'll run some trails and do some exploring. There is lots to do and see out there.

Looking forward to it!!!

Thanksgiving at the Hammers

I'm starting a list here of who wants to camp and or have Thanksgiving dinner at the Hammers. If you've never done it before, you should try it. I think it's the best way to spend Thanksgiving. We are going up on Wednesday too, and will camp with Hundy, If everyone that comes brings something to the Thanksgiving table, it should be an awesome feast. Who's in?

Adam-
I am probably full for seats, but come out no matter what! I am sure we can find you a spot. Just plan on it!

The Hammers is about 20-25 miles east of LV off of hwy 247. We turn left on Boone rd and follow it about 4 miles down to the lakebed.

Streetbike?
