Mottino Wash Sunday Morning, followed by a night run

I'm going to run Mottino Wash on Sunday morning. If the guys from the Memorial day weekend run do Duran on Sunday night, I'm joining them. Otherwise, I'll run Bullfrog on Sunday night.

Who's not skeered?

I'm skeered, Bullfrog bit my Jeep on Sunday. Sounds like a killer day but I'm thinking of resting this weekend........though that always changes by Friday.

How early are you going to do MW? If I can get up there, run the trail, and then get back to HB by 4:00, I'm a definite maybe. Otherwise, some other time.

Yeah, that definitely crossed my mind; hence, a "maybe". If I'm late coming back, I'll be in deep doo-doo.

I did make it . . . had to be tugged over a couple of rocks, and winched up the one *big* rock with the tree (where I busted my rear brake line); but, if there were fewer people in the group, and more time, I don't think I would have had half those problems. (I'm only running a front locker and am just shy of 35" tires).

It's a great trail.

Some people *might* be doing it on October 4th . . . but who knows?

It is looking more likely that I'll be up in the Big Bear area over the holiday weekend. The wife even said she'd like to just relax and read at the cabin while boys go off and play in the dirt (that's the *green* light).

So, I'm a strong maybe for Sunday.

Has a meeting place been determined yet?

I haven't nailed down a meeting spot yet. Maybe at Onyx Summit at 9:30. If I can find a good spot, that's closer to the Rattlesnake Canyon Trailhead, I'll post up. No doubt, those coming from the High Desert area will meet us down closer the MW trailhead.

For anybody who's going to make the night run, we'll be heading over to the Hundy compound after MW. Resting for a while, then leaving for Bullfrog at 7:30.
