Labor Day Weekend Run?

Anyone have any ideas about a Friday/Saturday-day or night run?

Oh Hundy, are ya listening?

Maybe a late day early eve run?

I know this sounds crazy but if we actually plan something in advance...

Well the Army and my Company have decided to stop flying me all over the USA to train soldiers so I have a free long weekend. I have made no plans and would be interested in doing some wheeling!

If we do a Sat run i would suggest it is an early one as the trails will most likely be buzzing. We could do an early John Bull and then over to Gold Mountain.

I do like Gold Mtn!

He who assaults at O'dark thirty always prevails!

Maybe a Night Run on Gold Mt. Sat and then a Night Run on Doran Sun??? Who needs sunlight anyway!

Then we can be vampires for Halloween!

This is starting to sound more and more like a plan. Almost scary!

We could call this Operation Labor Night Weekend Run!

Even the military would be envious of this plan

As I teach Army Officers on the Military Decision Making Process, I will tell you we are in step 3..Course of Action Analysis. We received the mission (who wants to do a Labor day run?), conducted mission analysis (who, what, when). We must select courses of action..
1. Do a day run or do a night run?
2. If day run
b) what day or multiple days?
a) Location
3. If night run,
a) what night or multiple nights?
b) Location
So now we have 6 course of actions and we need to reduce it to 2 course of actions. The we can begin course of action development. Then we will select a course of action and issue the operation order. Our rehearsal will be on site of the operation and will be a verbal rehearsal with briefing.

So the answer to your question is a plan is on the way soon!

I can't do a run on Friday or Saturday, but I've got Sunday open.

If you guys do Doran on Sunday night, I'm in. If not, I'm going to do a Bullfrog night run on Sunday night.

I'm going to do Mottino Wash on Sunday morning.

We were thinking of going out this weekend, I wonder if the fires will affect the roads or air quality up there? The backside of Big Bear in JV could be ugly with the wind blowing that way.
