Late notice San Marcos trails

Last minute green light was given to go play tomorrow.
Me and a buddy with a lifted FJ want to go explore the San Marcos trail system. We'll be leaving from San Elijo Hills around 830-845.

Whats the easiest way to get into the trail network, from the AM/PM off Deer Springs or from Gopher Canyon?

Thanks, Ben

Had an awesome time exploring out there today! It was HOT but well worth it. My Buddy, with a Subaru Outback Legacy X that has suspension and drivetrain mods, another friend with an FJ with OME and 33"s, and I (X 4dr w/3" and 35's) started at the Am/Pm off Deer Springs and wound up at the end of Twin Oaks.

It was awesome but the really sick **** was watching Mark with the Subie claw his way up everything.

Totally sick!
